Santa Monica Seafood, as an 80‑year‑old privately owned company, is the largest specialty wholesale distribution and processor of fresh and frozen seafood in the Southwestern U.S., with over 200,000 SF of facilities in 12 locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas.

Santa Monica Seafood was the first and still the only seafood company in the United States to achieve FSSC 22000 certification for food safety management systems, ISO 14001 certification for environmental management programs and BAP certification of its main processing facility.

The Freezer Stocker will be a self‑motivated individual able to work both independently and as part of the team.

The role includes stocking, palletizing, arranging seafood products and maintaining and replenishing stock in a safe and efficient manner, along with other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure work environment

Learn and memorize the location of the product

Examine stock for damaged product and place it in the designated area

Stock shelves, set up and takedown, repetitive work

Conduct visual inspection of the product being placed on shelves

Organize and maneuver storage of all products

Perform physical activities such as lift, pull, push or carry up to 50 lbs.

Operate a stand‑up forklift or perform other duties without a forklift

Safely operate equipment and work in a fast‑paced environment

Clear aisles and remove debris

Perform primary duties efficiently and accurately

Be flexible, dependable, and reliable; maintain prompt and regular attendance

Work in the freezer department for 6–10 hours per day

Work in a cold environment – the freezer temperature ranges below 0 °C

Freezer equipment and suits will be provided by the company

Schedule: Sunday through Friday, with Saturdays off and one additional day during the week. Working hours are 7 pm–3:30 am.
