Sanitation Technician

Base pay range:
Sanitation Technician 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm Shift
$17.81 per hour plus great benefits. Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor and/or Lead, the Sanitation Technician is responsible for all cleaning of soiled supplies and equipment used in the production process, and for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a high level of food safety and product quality through the cleaning and sanitation of food processing equipment, utensils, and the facility.
Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
Operate sanitation tools and chemicals, and apply food safety requirements.
Assemble and disassemble equipment for cleaning.
Understand and use cleaning chemicals.
Demonstrate prior food manufacturing experience.
Use a high‑pressure hose.
Show good communication skills and quickly grasp tasks.
Operate electric or manual pallet jack.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule from 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm.
Qualifications
Minimum of one year of sanitation experience or relevant work experience.
Work Environment
Work performed in a cold environment.
Job requires lifting up to 50 pounds; must be able to lift, carry, twist, bend, stoop, push, and pull.
Standing for long periods of time.
