Donation Station Attendant (Full-time)
Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington
is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1923 that helps people in Northwest Washington find jobs through free training and placement. The organization operates five training centers, 23 retail stores, and more than 27 donation sites across King, Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom and Kitsap counties.
Pay Rate : $17.13/hour
About the Position The Donation Station Attendant is responsible for accepting donated goods from the public and providing excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greets donors in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner; unloads donations from vehicles and offers tax receipts.
Evaluate donated items to determine if acceptable for donation.
Sort donations into assigned categories and pack safely into container(s).
Inform supervisor of status of station, container footage, and condition.
Maintain accurate donor tallies and other support duties.
Maintain accurate and timely loading check lists.
Maintain clean and safe work environment.
Identify and properly dispose of garbage and process recyclable material.
Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Demonstrates safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
If applicable: Consistent and safe execution of duties associated with forklift operation when certified to Seattle Goodwill standards.*
Must maintain reliable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
No previous experience or education required
Ability to read, speak and write English and perform basic math skills
Ability to work with a diverse team

Forklift certification optional; must meet eligibility requirements.

Ability to use a mobile phone
Physical Demands Requires lifting and/or moving up to 40–60 pounds, standing for long periods, walking, use of hands, balance, bending, reaching, operating foot pedals, climbing ladders, sit, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, crawl. Requires close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and reliable attendance. Work outdoors with variable temperatures and dust; noise level is loud. Must work a flexible schedule.
