About the Position

The Donation Station Attendant is responsible for accepting donated goods from the public and providing excellent customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greets donors in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner; unloads donations from vehicles and offers tax receipts. Evaluates donated items to determine if acceptable for donation. Sorts donations into assigned categories and packs safely into container(s). Informs supervisor of status of station, container footage, and condition. Maintains accurate donor tallies and other support duties. Maintains accurate and timely loading check lists. Maintains clean and safe work environment. Identifies and properly disposes of garbage and processes recyclable material. Builds and maintains internal and external customer satisfaction. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Demonstrates safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents. If applicable: Consistent and safe execution of duties associated with forklift operation when certified to Seattle Goodwill standards. Must maintain reliable attendance. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements

Ability to read, speak and write English and perform basic math skills. Ability to work with a diverse team. Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations

Forklift certification optional; must meet eligibility requirements. Computer / Technology Skills

Ability to use a mobile phone. Physical Demands

Employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 40–60 pounds, stand for long periods, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; balance; bend and reach with hands and arms; use feet to operate foot pedal operation; talk or hear. Occasionally required to climb ladders, sit, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Essential Mental/Sensory Abilities
