Job Summary and Essential Functions The Deck Attendant assists in pool patrons' use of the slides; enforcing safety rules and correcting infractions of pool rules. The deck attendant is also responsible for assisting in maintaining and cleaning the pool facilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Responsible for maintaining the upkeep and safety at the Roeland Park Aquatic Center.
Assists in permitting patrons to use the slides, correct infractions of pool rules and regulations of pool patrons, clean/maintain the facilities.
All Aquatic Center staff assists with facility cleaning daily, pre-season and post-season.
Must be willing to complete onsite training provided by the Aquatic Center staff in regard to pool slide rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
The applicant must pass a background check and drug test.
Must be at least 14 years of age.
ADA Requirements Physical Requirements:
Tasks involve frequent walking, standing; some lifting and carrying objects of moderate weight (25-50 lbs.); and the operation of office equipment and hand tools in which manipulative skills and hand-eye coordination are important ingredients of safe and/or productive operations.
Environmental Requirements:
Tasks may require frequent exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as inclement weather, heat, and extreme cold.
Sensory Requirements:
Tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Task requires oral communication ability.
