$16.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

100% Remote Work Availability: No
Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
Purpose of Position This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
As a stagehand at the Chester Fritz Performing Arts Center, you'll have the exciting opportunity to work on large-scale national touring Broadway musical productions, including:
THE BOOK OF MORMON – October 22
TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL – February 14
HADESTOWN – March 17
In addition to these major productions, we host many other concerts, events, and smaller performances throughout the year—too many to list! Once hired, you’ll have access to our show‑sign‑up book, where you can choose the events that fit your schedule. Whether it’s a major Broadway show or a smaller campus event, there are plenty of opportunities to get hands‑on experience behind the scenes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Help load and unload show equipment from trucks
Assist with the setup and takedown of stage gear for numerous kinds of events
Work hands‑on with lights, sound, props, scenery, and special effects
Minimum Requirements
Able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
RELIABLE and on time
Stagehands should be able to work well with others and follow instructions while working in a team
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willing to ask questions and learn
Able to follow directions and stay focused
Comfortable working nights and weekends, as needed
No experience necessary!
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.
