Our client, a distinguished institution in higher education, is seeking a P/T Human Resources Coordinator-Workday to join their dedicated team. As a P/T Human Resources Coordinator-Workday, you will be an integral part of the Human Resources department supporting faculty, staff, and administrative teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.
P/T Administrative Assistant-Higher Education Pay $35-45hr Duration-3 months + ext (Start Date 1/5/26) Location-NY, NY 10003 Onsite 5 days per week; 3 hrs per day
What's the Job?
Perform a range of clerical general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Interact with the general public as NYU liaison and with University personnel including those at the senior level to resolve issues and problems.
Customize and/or compose letters on own initiative or in response to requests for information. Perform general word processing duties utilizing intermediate to advanced level functions. Modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets.
Field inquiries and monitor student-facing department alias emails responding to a variety of inquiries, resolve routine and non-routine problems, and consult with supervisors or others, as needed, on more complex issues.
Field Students by phone and in person for academic advising appointments, assist students with scheduling appointments, and screen visitors to determine how to help or direct them to the appropriate person or office.
Monitor drop-in advising and support group advising/workshop facilitation.
Assist with drafting and disseminating student-facing communication, specifically with divisional yield efforts. Customize and/or compose letters on own initiative or in response to administrative matters for supervisor's review and approval. Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness.
Perform general word processing duties. Modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets.
Assist with administration of department diagnostic exams for writing and math courses by scheduling students and proctoring.
Maintain and secure student records and files.
Perform other clerical duties: photocopy and fax materials, process forms, maintain office files and records, pick up/deliver mail and materials, etc.
What's Needed?
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience as an Administrative Assistant in a professional setting.
Knowledge of administrative concepts, practices, and procedures.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Applications.
Working knowledge of
PeopleSync/Workday, icims, Interfolio.
