Job Summary
The Village of Coxsackie is currently seeking a professional and dedicated Part‑Time Code Enforcement Secretary for the Code Enforcement Office to join our team. This position entails working 16‑20 hours per week. The starting pay for this role is $22 per hour.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for various administrative tasks within an office environment, including some planning board duties. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, organized, possess excellent customer service skills, and excel in time management.
Responsibilities
Perform general clerical duties, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence.
Handle walk‑in applicants.
Prepare monthly reports for trustees.
Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for inspections.
Other duties as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proven experience as a secretary or administrative assistant.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail.
