Overview
Lazer Logistics, a recognized leader in third‑party yard and logistics management, is seeking a skilled Shipping Coordinator to support our local operations. In this role you will play a key part in ensuring shipments are processed accurately, schedules stay on track, and communication flows smoothly across the yard and warehouse teams. Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments with trucking companies, ensuring carriers arrive on time and loads are ready for efficient pickup. Review customer orders, confirm quantities and specifications, and generate all required shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing lists, and customs documentation. Accurately enter and update shipping information, tracking numbers, and delivery confirmation into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (e.g., SAP) and/or Warehouse Management System (WMS). Partner with the Warehouse and Forklift team to verify inventory counts and locations, ensuring the correct finished goods are staged for the appropriate loads. Direct and monitor the loading of finished product onto trailers, ensuring loads are secured properly, comply with weight distribution limits, and meet customer‑specific loading requirements. Ensure all loading dock procedures, including trailer and railcar inspection and dock lock safety, are strictly followed by plant personnel and external carriers. Oversee the organization of the finished goods area, verifying product stability, proper labeling, and quality integrity of the loads. Be a leader by example and live our overall purpose and core values. Foster communication, collaboration, diversity, inclusion, innovation, and a productive team environment. Promote a business partner and ownership mindset to the team to prioritize customer service excellence, adoption, resilience to change, and continuous improvement.
