A.B. Paterson College is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and expert Junior School Teacher to inspire and support students through high-quality teaching and learning. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in 2026.
We are looking for educators who bring professionalism, enthusiasm, and a deep commitment to student development. Successful candidates will foster a love of learning, support student wellbeing, and contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the Junior School.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver High-Quality Teaching and Learning: Plan and implement engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students.
Foster Student Wellbeing and Positive Relationships: Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student wellbeing, resilience, and respectful relationships.
Collaborate with Colleagues and Families: Work closely with teaching teams and parents to support student learning and development, maintaining open and professional communication.
Contribute to Co-Curricular and Pastoral Programs: Actively participate in the College’s co-curricular activities and pastoral care initiatives, supporting the holistic development of students.
Engage in Professional Growth and School Initiatives: Reflect on teaching practice, engage in ongoing professional learning, and contribute to whole-school priorities and improvement strategies.

A qualified and experienced Junior School Teacher
A strong commitment to student wellbeing and academic excellence

Someone who embraces innovation and continuous improvement in teaching practice
Sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and Teaching for Understanding (TfU) framework pedagogy
Up-to-date skills in using IT and digital classroom resources
Current CPR and First Aid training, or willingness to obtain
Current Teacher Registration is a requirement of this position
