with Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts is responsible for preparing and presenting high‑quality dishes at Peacock Alley restaurant, as well as in‑room dining and banquets. The role also supports food cost controls.
What will I be doing? As a
Demi Chef de Partie , you will perform the following to the highest standards:
Prepare and present high quality dishes within company guidelines
Keep all working areas clean and tidy, ensuring no cross‑contamination
Prepare mis‑en‑place for all relevant menus
Assure timely and efficient resolution of guest queries
Ensure food supplies are of good quality and stored correctly
Assist in controlling costs, improving gross profit margins and other departmental financial targets
Assist other departments as needed and maintain good working relationships
Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues
Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health, safety and food safety legislation
Be aware of departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team
Adopt environmentally conscious practices
What are we looking for? The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work independently or in a team
Desirable assets:
Experience in a similar brand or high‑end hotel setting
Strong cooking technique and menu knowledge
Proficiency in kitchen management systems
