Roles and Responsibilities

Support the Chef de Partie and Sous‑Chef in delivering consistently high‑quality culinary experiences across all outlets.

Execute all aspects of Mise à Place (MEP), ensuring readiness and consistency for service across multiple outlets.

Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest standards, maintaining consistency in taste, texture and visual appeal.

Uphold rigorous hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with HACCP and company policies.

Ensure all kitchen areas, tools and machinery are clean, organised and well‑maintained to support efficient operations.

Support food policy implementation, including allergen management and dietary requirements.

Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to minimise waste and maintain freshness.

Collaborate with the kitchen team, contributing to a positive and productive environment.

Engage in continuous professional development, attending training sessions and seeking opportunities to expand culinary skills and knowledge.

About You

Proven experience in hotel culinary operations, with the ability to manage and support a section of the kitchen effectively.

Solid knowledge of food preparation techniques and trends, and a strong commitment to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with chefs, kitchen porters, and front‑of‑house staff.

Capable of working under pressure in a fast‑paced environment, especially during peak service hours.

Experience Preferred

Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment or fine dining restaurant.

Experience in London‑based hotels, with knowledge of UK hospitality standards and local compliance (e.g. Food Hygiene Rating Scheme).

Level 2 or higher certification in food safety, with strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
