About The Learning Experience The Learning Experience – Bristow is seeking a dependable, organized, and safety-focused Preschool Cook to oversee all food service operations for our childcare center. This role is essential in supporting a healthy, positive experience for children by ensuring safe meal preparation, allergy management, and strong kitchen organization.
If you have experience in food service, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and value making an impact on children’s daily routines, we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in alignment with center menus and dietary guidelines.
Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, food storage, and sanitation.
Maintain accurate allergy lists and communicate with classroom staff to ensure child safety.
Follow all health, safety, and food handling regulations, including HACCP standards.
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with state and local licensing requirements.
Work collaboratively with center leadership to support smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Food Handler Certificate (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Experience in food preparation, kitchen management, or school/childcare food service preferred.
Strong organization and time-management skills.
Ability to lift 25+ lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods.
Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a positive attitude.
