Job Description Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma – Oklahoma City, OK.
Variable Hours; Weekend Coverage Needed.
Essential Functions of Employment with DLO Show up for work on time & prepared each scheduled work day. Perform all tasks and processes assigned, including those you are fully qualified for and those you may be over‑qualified for. Maintain a positive and supportive attitude, work collaboratively with teammates, and adhere to employer policies.
Perform routine testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology, coagulation, molecular, and microbiology. Assist with specimen processing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Additional duties may include special projects and assignments assigned by the supervisor/manager.
Responsibilities
Good understanding of laboratory procedures.
Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify causes, and synthesize alternatives.
Good communication skills and the ability to react positively with coworkers.
Ability to use independent judgment to solve problems.
Good computer skills a plus.
Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
Assist supervisor/manager with special projects/assignments.
Must be willing to work overtime or other times/shifts if required.
This full‑time position works 8‑hour day shifts – Monday through Friday – with rotating weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Technology.
ASCP MT/MLT certification or equivalent, or eligibility for national MT/MLT certification.
Ability to maintain a professional, courteous, and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress.
Teamwork with fellow employees is a must; keyboard skills are important.
Good customer service skills, professional appearance and attitude are required.

Physical and Mental Requirements
Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds occasionally; 36 to 50 pounds seldom; over 50 pounds not to be lifted or carried without assistance.
Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.
Frequent walking and/or standing.
May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses demanding significant manual dexterity.
