Job Overview 3rd Shift Press Packer – 10 PM – 6 AM, Sunday‑Thursday at our plant in Walker, MI.

What You’ll Do

Ensure department and plant meet daily and weekly production requirements.

Reference production orders in Plex to weld product per Job Element Sheet (JES).

Frequent lifting, moving, positioning products and materials up to 60 lb (with assistance for heavier items) across the work center; the role involves standing, walking, bending, twisting, turning, and lifting.

Select proper rack or bin to pack parts or store parts for the next process.

Pack parts in correct storage containers, label them per customer requirements, and use a PC, Plex system, keyboard, and mouse.

Complete online work center and operator inspection sheets to verify visual inspection and gage requirements.

Visually inspect parts from previous operations to meet quality standards, checking form, fit, function, and gage requirements per the Quality Policy.

Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area through housekeeping duties.

Perform and cross‑train on various work centers as required.

Complete paperwork and documentation (hourly count boards).

Meet daily production requirements.

What You Need to Have

High school graduate or equivalent.

Six months manufacturing experience preferred.

High standards of performance, thoroughness, accuracy, and reliability.

Ownership of actions and responsibility for results and mistakes.

Positive conflict resolution skills, ability to listen and focus on solutions.

Continuous improvement mindset, utilization of feedback.

Flexibility to move within and between work areas to support plant flow.

Ability to work with a sense of urgency and meet customer needs.

Comprehensive knowledge and skills to perform all job responsibilities.

Constructive attitude toward change and learning opportunities.

Collaborative, supportive of team work.

Dependable presence, timely breaks, and effective time use.

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Must work full‑time, 40 hrs/week.

Read and interpret job element sheets.

Use variety of gages (functional, go/no‑go).

Use grinders.

PC and mouse skills.

Lift/move material up to 40 lb frequently.

Work as a contributing member in a team environment.

Age 18 years or older.

Physically capable of standing 8–10 hrs/day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
