Job Summary:
As our Chaplain, you will serve as a vital spiritual leader and compassionate caregiver within our hospital community, providing essential spiritual counseling and support to patients, families, and staff.
Responsibilities:
Provides pastoral care to patients and families in a timely manner and serves as a professional spiritual care resource.
Maintains accurate documentation in patient charts regarding spiritual care interventions, plans, and outcomes.
Advocates for patient rights in regard to spiritual, cultural, and psychosocial values.
Supports an interdisciplinary approach to pastoral care by participating in team meetings and rounds.
Provides education to patients and families about spiritual resources, advance directives, organ and tissue donation, ethics, and other spiritual issues that may arise.
Participates in ritual, worship, and sacramental needs of patients, family, and staff.
Job Requirements:
Minimum:
Master's in Theology, Pastoral Care/Counseling, Divinity.
One year of chaplaincy experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Clinical Pastoral Education: 4 units of CPE (1600 hours) in an accredited ACPE hospital center.
Professional Competencies: Theology of Pastoral Care (302.1 - 302.5); Identify and Conduct (303.1 - 303.9) Pastoral Care (304.1 - 304.9); Professionalism (305.1 - 305.6).
Board Certified Chaplain APC, within 24 months.
Preferred:
Three years of chaplaincy experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Located in Chandler, the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429-bed, not-for-profit hospital with more than 2,600 team members and almost 1,000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999, but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. The hospital includes a Level I Trauma Center, a Heart and Vascular Center, a Wound Healing Center, a Family Birth Center and many additional services.
