About The Role This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the plumbing trade. The Plumbing Helper will support journeyman and master plumbers with installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems on commercial job sites, while gaining valuable hands‑on experience and training.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes, fixtures, and water, drainage, and gas systems
Prepare and organize tools, materials, and equipment for daily tasks
Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes or fittings under supervision
Help identify and troubleshoot plumbing issues
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Load, unload, and transport materials to and from job sites
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Perform other general labor duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience with hand tools or construction preferred – not required
Willingness to learn and take direction from senior plumbers
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (Charlottesville area required)
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team‑oriented mindset
