is a heavy equipment mechanic role specializing in maintaining and repairing cranes. The position involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial hoists and cranes in the field, with a strong safety focus. Technicians must be available on‑call and provide after‑hour and weekend services as required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Be able to be on‑call and provide after‑hour services as required.

Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes at customer locations.

Perform OSHA‑required hoist and crane inspections, generating inspection reports and repair orders.

Communicate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule and complete work.

Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and responsibly, notifying supervisor of deficiencies.

Work collaboratively in a team environment.

Attend company‑provided trainings and seminars as required.

Participate in HCSG 5 Marks program.

Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The work is labor intensive, requiring regular lifting up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs), frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, overhead reaching, bending, squatting, and prolonged standing or sitting. It involves hand and eye coordination, and exposure to heights exceeding 50 ft on a daily basis. Travel and various shifts, including on‑call and overtime, may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The position is performed inside or outside, with exposure to extreme hot (up to 120 °F) and cold temperatures, noise, heights, fumes, dust, and odors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

0‑2 years of crane experience in an industrial facility.

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Commitment to working and driving safely.

Willingness to work at various heights.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to communicate well and work independently or as a team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Vocational or technical training certificate.

Some electrical and mechanical knowledge. Knowledge of hand tools or possession of hand tools.

Must pass a pre‑employment drug test and background check (DISA) and submit to random and annual drug testing as required.
