Day Camp Mentor
We are seeking a ministry‑minded Day Camp Mentor to be on our Summer Camps team. The mentor’s primary role is to lead a group of campers through their daily program, which includes Bible study, activity classes, meals, worship times and other events. This is a temporary, summer‑only position.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise campers throughout the daily program
Coordinate Bible study, activities, meals, worship times and other events
Model Christian values and serve as a role model to children in the community
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
Must be at least 16 years of age (High School Diploma or G.E.D; post‑secondary training highly preferred)
Passion and love for working with elementary school‑aged children
Able to work Monday–Friday during the summer months
Ability to earn mandatory CPR/First Aid certification
Dependable transportation
Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) greatly valued
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7 am – 6 pm
Sunday evenings
Experience
Working with youth: 1 year (preferred)
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Currently pursuing an associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
