Pay Pay: $16‑21 / hour

Job Summary As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high‑quality dishes efficiently and hygienically, ensuring all food items meet recipes and standards to enhance the guest dining experience.
Basic Job Duties
Wash, peel, cut, chop, slice, and prepare cooking elements during a shift.
Store items in the refrigerator, cover exposed items, and prep special elements ahead of time for quick use.
Prepare portions of dishes as directed.
Work with speed and efficiency to ensure timely output of menu items.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area throughout the shift.
Complete assigned prep work for stocking and setting up stations; break down and clean stations thoroughly each day.
Ensure proper rotation of all products to par, label, dot, and sign all products; obtain Chef/Manager signature on all items.
Wear company‑approved uniform, approved manufacturer‑certified slip‑resistant or non‑slip shoes at all times.
Observe all SRC policies and procedures.
Education / Experience / Skills
Previous experience as a Prep Cook or similar role preferred.
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification is a plus.
Travel Requirements
No regular travel required.
Physical Demands
Frequent lifting, moving, and carrying of kitchenware, cleaning equipment, food boxes, garbage, etc., weighing up to 30 pounds.
Standing for the duration of a 6+ hour shift with appropriate breaks.
Regular and prolonged standing and walking to prepare food, clean workstations, move garbage, etc.
Occasional ascending/descending stairs across the restaurant to move food items and equipment.
Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
Frequent use of hand‑to‑finger motions, manipulation of objects, reaching with hands and arms.
Constant bending, stooping, and turning.
Constant exposure to hot and damp temperature fluctuations.
