Job Description The Auto Body Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience by meticulously assessing and repairing each vehicle to restore it to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, playing a pivotal role in upholding our promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence.

Key Job Responsibilities

Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.

Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers. Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.

Hammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; mix and apply filler resins to repair dents when other methods are not feasible.

Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.

Remove damaged sections and replace them with new or aftermarket parts, including glass and windshields as needed.

Replace or repair interior parts as necessary.

Weld and otherwise attach or fit parts into place and prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or agreed-upon equivalent.

Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines, ensuring accuracy through post-repair inspections.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Required

High school diploma or equivalent.

Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Required Skills/Abilities

Read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Collaborate effectively with other repairers in an auto body shop.

Thorough understanding of methods and procedures for repairing vehicle bodies.

Proficiency in using the tools required for the trade.

Other Requirements

Work safely in a noisy area with strong odors.

Lift up to 30 pounds at times.

Visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.

Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

Compensation Details Pay: $60,000 – $150,000 per year.
