Activity Assistant - Memory Care Unit (Part-Time Weekends)
Join our dedicated team at Grand Villa as an Activity Assistant in our Memory Care Unit, where your enthusiasm and compassion will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. We are seeking a part-time professional for the weekend shift to help engage seniors through recreational therapy, fostering a vibrant and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities
Support residents in participating in daily activities, promoting social interaction and mental stimulation
Assist with the setup and cleanup of activity spaces and materials
Observe and document residents' participation and responses to activities
Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities align with individual care plans and needs
Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all residents
Skills and Qualifications
Prior experience in recreational therapy, activity coordination, or a related field preferred
Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of seniors, especially those with memory impairments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in activity planning or senior care are a plus
