We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual to work as a Science Camp Teacher with our NJ‑based day camps to run science and engineering activities for kids.
Black Rocket provides unique educational programs to children and young adults, focusing on creativity, technology, critical thinking and hands‑on learning.
Responsibilities
Summer seasonal position (4–8 weeks) Curriculum and materials are provided Learn fun science activities to bring back to your students during the school year Spend the summer with our amazing students having fun at camp Paid training Teach exciting topics with hands‑on activities such as engineering, circuits, flight and motion, the human body, physics of amusement park rides, basic chemistry, forensic science, dinosaur and fossils, and more Requirements
Ability to travel to multiple central NJ sites (one site per week), Monday‑Friday Teaching or student‑teaching experience in K‑12 schools strongly preferred Experience with children in a camp or educational setting Experience with children ages 7‑14 Must be comfortable leading a group of up to 15 students independently through hands‑on science activities across multiple domains Ability to manage and organize equipment and materials, including paid prep time before and after classes Benefits

Rate: $18/hr – $25/hr
