Associate Teacher - Preschool Academy - Contracted through EduStaff Position: Associate Teacher – Preschool Academy, Contracted through EduStaff.

Location: Harvey-Swanson Elementary – Preschool, Brandon School District, Walled Lake, MI.

Pay Range: $16.50/hr (fixed) via EduStaff. No benefits included.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and implement the HighScope preschool program activities.

Provide instructional support to students in a safe, nurturing environment.

Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork and reports associated with HighScope requirements.

Maintain child and staff files as required.

Conduct required home visits, conferences, and parent meetings.

CPR/first aid certification, physicals, TB, and other requirements according to licensing guidelines.

Attend GSRP home visits twice annually.

Participate in parent/teacher conferences twice annually.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervising teacher and/or director.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA); may consider candidates in the process of obtaining their CDA.

Awareness of child development theory and practice.

Ability to develop, implement, and monitor age-appropriate activities.

Knowledge of social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of preschool children.

Good organizational and leadership skills.

Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with preschool‑age children, parents, and other staff.

Reporting & Schedule Reports To: Program Supervisor.

Workweek: Monday – Friday; 7 paid hours per day and a 0.5‑hour unpaid lunch (7:55 AM – 3:25 PM).

Starting Date: 2025‑2026 school year.

Compensation: $16.50 per hour, contracted through EduStaff. Employment type: Contract.
