Alan B. Miller Medical Center will open in Spring 2026. A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence, the new state‑of‑the‑art facility will join UHS’s growing regional network of healthcare operations. The campus will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop, encompassing 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. It will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services, as well as outpatient services in its medical office buildings.

Responsibilities Under the direction of the designated leader within the Imaging Department, the Radiologic Technologist provides general diagnostic imaging services. Demonstrates radiation protection and safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines. Maintains equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition. Performs examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner to favorably promote the services offered at the facility.

Qualifications Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology.

Experience

Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a registered radiology technologist required; acute‑care experience preferred.

Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements, and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to apply common‑sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

License / Certification

Active State of Florida radiologic technologist license.

Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) license required.

Current basic life support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
