Summary
The purpose of the One to One Observer is to provide personal constant observation of a patient and to communicate with and support the healthcare team, patients, and/or patients’ families or significant others while maintaining high standards of professional ethics.
Position Responsibilities
Provide constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient, ensuring a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm setting.
Deliver restraint care to patients in restraints.
Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond appropriately.
Assist in orientation of healthcare team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required
Must have strong communication skills.
Required Education
High School diploma or GED.
Training/Certifications/Licensure
Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.
