Job Description The Aerial Lineman performs a variety of duties related to the installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of overhead and/or underground distribution systems, and transmission facilities.

Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.

Install, upgrade, and repair products.

Run cable in buildings; lash and de‑lash existing cable.

Perform all duties of aerial maintenance and line work.

Install and remove various anchor systems (sidewalk arms, guy guards, etc).

Ensure all installation work is done according to quality standards.

Assist in coordination between local utility companies when necessary.

Assist with work overflow.

Follow all company policy and procedures.

Understand safety requirements and use personal protective equipment.

Understand emergency restoration protocols.

Qualifications

Three years of experience in coax, aerial, and fiber construction.

Experience with installation and network upgrades is a plus.

Proficient in pole climbing and working from hooks/gaffs.

Ability to climb poles and work at heights up to and exceeding 30 ft.

Experience in Pole Transfer, all types.

Ability to learn and apply knowledge of electrical principles.

May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.

Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather.

Must have a valid driver’s license.
