Base pay range $20.00/hr - $32.00/hr
Audio Advice Installation Technicians deliver exceptional in‑home technology experiences for our customers. Technicians install, configure, and support premium audio, video, networking, and smart home systems while representing Audio Advice with professionalism, technical excellence, and a strong customer‑service mindset.
Key Responsibilities
System Installation & Configuration
Install residential and light commercial audio, video, and smart home systems, including TVs, speakers, receivers, control systems, networking equipment, and related components.
Perform equipment mounting, cable pulling, termination, labeling, and equipment rack organization to company standards.
Configure and test systems to ensure proper functionality, performance, and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after installation.
Customer Experience
Interact professionally with customers in their homes, explaining system functionality and basic operation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and respectful work environment at customer sites.
Identify and communicate potential improvements or additional customer needs to project managers or sales teams.
Team & Process Collaboration
Work closely with Lead Technicians, Project Managers, and other team members to complete jobs efficiently and accurately.
Follow documented installation procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Accurately document work performed, equipment used, and job status using company systems.
Continuous Learning & Growth
Participate in ongoing training related to new products, tools, and installation techniques.
Stay current with evolving technologies in audio, video, networking, and home automation.
Demonstrate a willingness to grow into higher‑level technical or leadership roles over time.
Qualifications
Required
Experience with low‑voltage installation, AV systems, or related technical work.
Basic understanding of audio, video, and networking concepts.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment safely.
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and on ladders.
Preferred
Experience installing TVs, surround sound systems, structured wiring, or control systems.
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (routers, switches, Wi‑Fi).
Manufacturer or industry certifications (or willingness to obtain them).
Experience working in customer homes or client‑facing service environments.
