Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Audio Visual (AV) Technician specializing in commercial installations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV systems for commercial clients. This role requires a strong understanding of AV equipment, including projectors, video walls, audio systems, control systems, and video conferencing solutions. The AV Technician will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure high-quality installations and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and test AV systems in commercial environments such as offices, conference rooms, auditoriums, and retail spaces. Set up and calibrate audio systems, including speakers, amplifiers, microphones, and sound mixing equipment. Install and configure video display systems, such as projectors, monitors, LED walls, and digital signage. Integrate and program AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron) to ensure seamless operation. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV systems during and after installations. Provide on-site training to clients on the operation of installed AV systems. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to complete projects on time and within budget. Ensure all installations meet company and industry standards for quality and safety. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AV technology trends, products, and best practices. Qualifications

Proven experience of at least 5 years in AV system installation and configuration in commercial settings. Strong knowledge of audio systems, video displays, AV control systems, and networking for AV systems. Familiarity with brands such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC, Biamp, and similar. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and system schematics. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift and install heavy AV equipment. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications

Certifications from AV industry organizations such as AVIXA (CTS), Crestron, or similar. Experience with video conferencing solutions such as Zoom, Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams, or Polycom. This position requires regular work on construction sites and in finished commercial spaces. Must be comfortable working with ladders, lifts, and power tools. Seniority level
