Minimum Qualifications:
CPR/AED Certification required
First Aid Certification preferred
CAP Certification preferred
Basketball coaching experience preferred
Substantial knowledge of the fundamental and technical aspects of Basketball
Ability to effectively foster the improvement of student-athletes as Basketball Athletes
Must abide by the Waterford School District Coaches Handbook and overall District athletic philosophy
Essential Functions:
Assist coaches in planning, organizing and facilitating practices
Assist players in developing basketball fundamental skills
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Work effectively with the entire coaching staff and athletic department
Teach, maintain and enforce character and academic expectations within the program
Reports To:
Building Principal, Building Assistant Athletic Director & 7th & 8th Grade Head Boys Basketball Coaches
Workday/Week:
Varies
Starting Date:
TBD - Season begins November 2025
Compensation:
Determined by Teacher Master Agreement and years of experience
