Salary Grade: 14 ($46,441 - $60,605 - $74,769)
FLSA: Nonexempt
Essential Functions
Inspects and maintains traffic control devices to ensure proper operation; performs preventative maintenance activity; troubleshoots and repairs electronic equipment; and tests and programs control cabinets.
Responds to traffic control device outage calls; completes verbal and written status reports; and completes work orders and requests for maintenance.
Drives and maintains work site trucks; performs pre-trip vehicle inspection; checks fluid levels and tire pressure; fuels vehicle; and reports problems with vehicle to supervisor.
Maintains reference material library; collects schematic diagrams and technical manuals for traffic control equipment; maintains equipment log and supply list; and updates knowledge base on new and existing technologies.
Conducts simulations in shop to test traffic control equipment; and tests new and repaired equipment to ensure proper operation.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; two years of experience in electrical repair and maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Specific License or Certification Required Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Commercial Driver’s License, including appropriate endorsements; or must obtain a valid Georgia Commercial Driver’s License within six months of employment.
