Description
TEKsystems is looking for a Field Technician in the Charleston area to assist a client with facilities. This role supports central locations with a team to keep the infrastructure up for outages and customer needs.
Key Skills
Working knowledge of fiber circuits, MPLS and other LAN/WAN data circuits.
Skilled in termination and troubleshooting of various cabling types, including fiber.
Knowledge of fiber terminations, data circuits, 48V and 135Vdc power plants.
Experience with DC plant systems, LAN and wireless testing, fiber optic test equipment, and various cabling types.
Familiarity with cable identification, terminating cables, and Channel Banks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Electrical/Electronic experience and SCADA knowledge (a plus).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing.
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Columbia, SC.
Pay and Benefits Pay range: $40.00 – $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements may apply to some benefits and depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may depend on specific elections, plan, or program terms.
