Adult Education Part‑time Teacher
Under the supervision of the Director of Adult Education, the part‑time teacher provides instruction to students pursuing a range of personal goals, including basic skills, digital literacy, financial literacy, GED credentialing, and WAGE certification. The role is based at the UACCM Adult Education facility in Conway and requires a 28‑hour per week schedule that includes daytime and evening hours.
Summary of Job Duties
Teach basic skills and concepts in reading, language, and mathematics.
Deliver instruction through individualized, small‑group, and whole‑class formats.
Use textbooks, workbooks, lectures, computer‑based programs, audio/visual aids, and hands‑on activities to facilitate learning.
Assist students in developing digital literacy skills.
Provide learning activities that enhance financial literacy skills.
Collaborate with students to document long‑ and short‑term goals based on identified career pathways.
Produce progress reports and update individual learning plans consistently.
Assist with the delivery of WAGE Level I and WAGE Level II instruction.
Maintain accurate student attendance records.
Participate in required professional development activities.
Attend staff meetings.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Previous experience in adult education instruction is preferred.
Part‑time teachers must hold a valid Arkansas Department of Education Educator’s License.
Demonstrated commitment to cooperative work with campus personnel and ability to deliver quality customer service.
Background screening is required. A criminal conviction or pending arrest alone will not disqualify an applicant unless it directly relates to the position. Screening is conducted confidentially and non‑discriminatorily in accordance with state and federal law.
Additional Information Salary : $20‑$22 per hour.
