Position Summary As an Automotive Wire Harness Assembly Team Member, you will be responsible for assembling various engine components and accessories, typically electrical in nature, according to standardized work instructions. The role requires the ability to balance effective utilization of quality workmanship methods with the ability to meet production schedules, including product quantity goals, in order to achieve manufacturing goals.

Essential Responsibilities

Assemble or build electrical engine components, including wire harnesses, panels, switches, or similar parts, according to standardized work instructions using a wide variety of tools, including wire crimping, stripping, digital multi‑meter, and power supply

Verify product quality based on work instructions and follow the standard process for reporting defective materials or questionable conditions

Examine parts or observe the movement of completed assemblies to detect any deficiencies

As needed, lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds of materials to assist in production

Adhere to all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment, navigating the plant with alert behavior, operating power tools and machines according to instructions, and disposing of waste properly

All other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required

Ability to apply math (fractions, ratios, measurements) and to read, comprehend, and convert instruction manuals/diagrams into work required

Experience with some of the following: Wire Harness Assembly, Control Panel Assembly, Industrial Panel Build, Car-Fi, Automotive Wiring, Wire Harness Prototype, or Wire Harness Design experience

Demonstrated aptitude to effectively use one or more of the following tools supporting electronics assembly: Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Capacitance Meter, Logic Analyzer, Wire Crimp Tools, Striping Tools, Digital Multi‑meter, or Power Supply

Electrical competence with Analog Electronics, DC Electronics, Circuit Analysis, Circuit Design, or Micro‑Controllers

Standard computer knowledge utilizing MS Office, Word, and Excel

Basic familiarity with Epicor or other ERP (SAP, JD Edwards) to access and enter information

Physical ability to stand for 10‑12 hours if needed, and work on hands and knees for extended periods

Physical ability to lift 40 pounds consistently
