Texas Oncology is looking for a Certified IV Admixture Technician to join our team! This position will support the Humble, Texas location.
This is a full-time Monday – Friday 8a‑5p position with no weekends or major holidays. The position will be level I, II, or Senior based on candidate experience.

Job Description The Pharmacy / Admixture Technician, under the direct supervision of a physician or registered pharmacist, performs technical aspects of medication preparation, distribution, record keeping, and inventory control. Tasks are subject to verification by a registered nurse or pharmacist. The role supports the US Oncology Compliance Program, including Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Check all orders for completeness and verify patient information and proper physician authorization.
Verify insurance approval before admixing.
Admix drugs as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner as per department guidelines, preparing all drugs within OSHA guidelines.
Calculate correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents; maintain indigent patient drug program as needed.
Count controlled drugs weekly and maintain records; keep current drug information and MSDS sheets; dispose all materials used when mixing chemo or non‑chemo IVs.
Clean hood daily as per policy; log and date all drugs used.
Check drugs monthly for obsolescence; keep accurate temperature logs; maintain logs on all protocol drugs and patient assistance drugs.
Maintain proper control documentation of medications, including lot numbers and all other quality assurance activities.
Complete inventory control of medications; order supplies; receive and shelve medications; ensure standard drug supplies are adequate in all departments.
Prepare labels; file and prepare billing.
Qualifications Level I:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Entry level to three (3) years experience in a pharmacy.
IV Certification strongly preferred.
Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirement recommended.
Level II (in addition to Level I requirements):
Minimum three (3) to five (5) years experience in a pharmacy with IV skills.
Level Senior (in addition to Level I and II requirements):
Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a pharmacy with IV skills.
Oncology background preferred or extensive IV preparation experience.
Completion of an ASCP accredited program or community college‑based program recommended.
