Job Description Located in the gorgeous new expansion of Westfield Topanga, Topanga Social is a 50,000+ sq ft flexible space hosting 24 food outlets. The line cook prepares food to ensure proper flavor, quality, and compliance with culinary standards. The position reports to Lead Line Cooks, Culinary Supervisors, Sous Chefs, and Executive Chef.
What You’ll Do
Prepare high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain service records.
Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness; store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food‑handling procedures.
Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat, ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the Supervisor immediately.
Attend all in‑service and safety meetings.
Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by Sous Chefs and Executive Chef.
