Overview Rigel LLC is looking for an experienced RT Tech with aerospace DR experience to work at a client's facility in the Upper Midwest as an independent contractor. Per diem and automotive rental are included.
The DDR RT Level II Technician is responsible for independently performing inspections using Digital Radiographic (DR) techniques to identify abnormalities, defects, or other conditions as defined by written specifications. This role includes conducting inspections, interpreting results, and preparing reports in accordance with company standards. The Technician must be able to clearly communicate procedures, findings, and requirements to clients.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Ensure a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following all company and customer safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations; promptly reporting hazards or concerns.
Carry out tasks assigned by the Senior Technician on site.
Maintain all required NDT certifications.
Perform certified NDT inspections.
Interpret inspection results, document findings, and prepare required reports.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
RT Level II Certification (NAS-410) with CR/DDR.
United States Citizenship.
Experience interpreting images of castings within the aerospace industry.
Basic math proficiency.
Ability to operate computers and computerized equipment.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the NDT field as a certified Radiographic Inspector in the Aerospace sector.
Willingness to travel 100% of the time; daily per diem provided.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
