Position Overview The Driver is responsible for operating company vehicles—including box trucks, sprinter vans, and other fleet vehicles—to transport flooring materials, tools, and people safely and efficiently. This role plays a vital part in supporting project operations, ensuring timely deliveries to job sites, assisting with logistics, and providing reliable transportation for customer events. This is an on-site, full-time position requiring flexibility, attention to detail, and a professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate company box truck and other vehicles to deliver flooring materials, pallets, and carpet rolls to job sites.
Handle in-state, out-of-state, after-hours, and early morning deliveries as required.
Assist with loading and unloading materials; move pallets and carpet rolls within the warehouse and to jobsite locations.
Ensure all deliveries are accurate, timely, and handled with care.
Maintain vehicles in clean, safe, and service-ready condition; conduct basic vehicle inspections.
Provide transportation for customer entertainment events and move staff or guests between locations as needed.
Follow all DOT, state, and local traffic laws; adhere to Pace Flooring’s safety policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and documentation.
Support warehouse staff with material organization and staging when not driving.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience driving box trucks and large commercial vehicles preferred.
Ability to lift and move heavy flooring materials (up to 75 lbs).
Strong time management and communication skills.
Professional appearance and customer service mindset.
Flexibility to work evenings, early mornings, weekends, and occasional overnight trips.
Preferred Skills
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
Familiarity with commercial construction jobsite protocols.
Experience in logistics, delivery, or warehouse operations.
