What to Expect We are currently hiring a goal-oriented Hostler Driver at Gigafactory Nevada. Hook-up driver, yard spotter drives trucks or tractors to and from vehicle parking and docking area to move, position, and park 53' trailers. Move production material trailers on request to fulfill the just-in-time delivery method. Spots (positions) loaded and unloaded trailers at assigned dock space for unloading or loading, using tractor. Document all moves using the yard/trailer management system, and communicates all moves to warehouse.

What You'll Do

Operate an industrial tractor to move trailers within the yard, including hooking/unhooking, securing, sealing, and moving trailers in and out of doors to support shipping and receiving

Perform cycle counts, yard checks, and daily inspections of trucks and trailers, ensuring safety compliance with applicable regulations and procedures

Support Production teams and Warehouse best practices, completing tasks according to warehouse schedules and standard times

Handle physical tasks including pushing, pulling, gripping, twisting, and reaching, with a demonstrated ability to follow standardized work processes and instructions

Act as a Material Handler for at least 15% of the time, ensuring all trailers are loaded or empty and assisting with general inquiries related to trailer yards

Maintain a positive attitude and energy while working closely with others to perform assigned duties

Perform Receiving Department duties, including using a sit-down forklift to unload inbound shipments, move products, and stack/store materials

What You'll Bring

Must be mission-driven, reliable, quality-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Strong command of English, both written and verbal, is required

Ability to stand, walk, climb in and out of tractors frequently, lift up to 50 lbs. daily, manually crank landing gear, and repetitively open and close trailer doors at different heights (4-5 ft.)

Must endure and safely operate in extreme weather and climate conditions, working both outdoors and indoors, including in warehouse environments

Must have experience operating a sit-down forklift, preferably within the last year; current forklift certification is strongly preferred

Valid driver's license required; CDL is preferred but not required

Must maintain safe work practices and be adaptable to changing work conditions
