Summary Assist the classroom teacher in direct care and supervision of students in a safe, clean, and educationally stimulating environment. Provide individual instruction and support classroom management. Drive school buses as assigned.
Responsibilities
Assist teacher in implementing daily lesson plans.
Prepare classroom materials.
Assist with overall care of students, including toileting and personal hygiene.
Support classroom management and provide individualized instruction to individual students or small groups.
Drive school buses in a safe and timely manner.
Behavior management and compliance with Easterseals policies and procedures.
Demonstrate professional ethics and effective communication.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
Minimum of one year of classroom experience working with persons with behavioral modification preferred.
Valid Driver’s License required. CPR/First Aid Certification preferable but training will be provided.
Must pass background screening and drug test.

Compensation $60,000.00 - $77,000.00
