ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES WORKER Full-Time | $19.28 - $21.29/hour, based on experience

As an Environmental Services Worker, your work will help support a safe, clean, enjoyable and dignified environment for our residents, while you enjoy a workplace rooted in compassion and respect. The schedule will vary depending on community needs, hours

7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with varied weekdays, weekends and some Holidays.

About the Role Our Environmental Services Workers help ensure that Kendal at Ithaca remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. In this full‑time role, you will provide housekeeping and floor‑care services throughout the community. This position requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a passion for quality service in support of our mission.

Key Responsibilities

Perform cleaning duties including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, spot cleaning, and laundry

Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and carpet cleaners

Use cleaning agents safely and effectively to maintain cleanliness throughout resident and community areas

Maintain floors and surfaces in accordance with infection control and safety standards

Provide excellent customer service and interact with residents respectfully and compassionately

Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized work environment in alignment with Kendal values

Qualifications

Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or floor‑care experience preferred

Ability to follow cleaning protocols and safely use cleaning agents

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Positive attitude and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Compensation & Perks

Competitive hourly wage of $19.28 - $21.29, based on experience
