Food and food service delivery drivers play a vital role in the country’s food supply chain.

They ensure products arrive on time, in good condition, and serve as the face of the company by building lasting relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

Communicate and interact with customers, vendors and coworkers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.

Act as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duty assigned to support the company.

Perform all required safety checks (pre‐ and post‐trip inspections) and ensure tractor, truck, and trailer meet DOT regulations and company safety standards.

Report all safety issues and repairs required.

Follow all DOT regulations and company safe‑driving guidelines and policies.

Inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight and perform damage control checks on items.

Count items, check customer invoices, and complete all required paperwork accurately.

Drive to and deliver customer orders as per the predetermined route schedule.

Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and verify delivery with customer signatures.

Collect money (cash or checks) when required and load customer returns onto the trailer.

Secure tractor, trailer, and freight at all times.

Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean.

Complete daily hours of service records and submit logs to meet Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

At least 6 months of commercial driving experience.

High school diploma, GED, or state‑approved equivalent.

Valid CDL A license.

Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).

Minimum age 21 years.

Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.

Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.

Pass a road test.

Valid current DOT Health Card and/or ability to obtain a new DOT Health Card.

Capacity to hand‑lift and operate equipment such as two‑wheelers, lift gates, and other lifting devices; product typically ranges from 10–35 lb and may reach up to 90 lb.

Compensation $30.45 per hour, paid weekly.
