Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is looking for an energetic, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented Front Desk Attendant to join our team. The Front Desk Attendant is the first point of contact for the SPOT Youth Center location.
Job Details Goodwill’s mission is to connect Kentucky job seekers with the resources and services they need to find and maintain long‑term employment and a career path. We serve Kentuckians who have disabilities or experience other challenges finding success in the workforce, such as criminal backgrounds, language barriers, limited education, lack of transportation and chronic poverty.
Job Type:
Full‑time, Non‑Exempt
Essential Duties and Tasks
Ensures the front desk is always covered.
Greets and welcomes all staff, clients, partners, and visitors to the campus.
Performs a variety of clerical support tasks and works collaboratively to ensure task completion.
Operates telephone system, provides information to the public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties; maintains a positive first impression and gives visitors and callers a consistent experience of helpfulness.
Handles complaints by listening, understanding, expressing concern and then respectfully directing person(s) to appropriate staff.
Maintains reception area appearance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED (required)
Must possess versatility, discretion, and the ability to work with a variety of people.
Must have the ability to communicate well both orally and written in a helpful and professional manner.
Must demonstrate ability to follow instructions and organize work, collaborate, and complete tasks with little supervision.
Training in business communications or administration preferred.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Physical Demands
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time with occasional walking, standing, or lifting up to 10 lbs.
