Summary
BVS, a Reggio-inspired Early Enrichment Center, is seeking a phenomenal Toddler teacher to join our exceptional team. Our program values the natural world, so candidates can expect to enjoy outside time, natural items within the classroom, and a homey feeling at our center. Our Toddler program runs from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, ensuring that staff are scheduled for 40 hours per week. We are seeking an individual to help develop a child-centered curriculum, model appropriate interactions and caring relationships, and support children in their growth and development. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in Early Childhood Education, will be a Lead Teacher Qualified, will respect and understand that families play a critical role in our program, and will value a nature-inspired philosophy.
Duties
Assist in implementing curriculum activities and encourage children's participation. Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials. Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports. Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling. Help ensure a smooth, daily transition from home to child care center. Follow all center policies and state regulations.
Requirements
CDA, Associate's Degree or Equivalent, and Lead Teacher Qualified in the State of NH. Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience. High energy. Ability to work well with others. Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills. A strong understanding of child development. Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification. Must clear a full background check. Must pass health screening.
