Position Overview The Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana seeks a full‑time Kitchen Aide to support daily food service for youth and adults. Duties include preparing three meals daily, maintaining an industrial kitchen, washing and sanitizing dishes, prepping food for cookouts, and ensuring high‑quality service for all members and guests.

Responsibilities
Aid in daily meal preparation and cookouts
Assist the Kitchen Manager with balanced meals and special dietary needs
Plan and prepare pack‑out food
Maintain kitchen related inventory
Uphold sanitation and facility upkeep
Manage dish washing
Respond to emergencies
Assist with pack‑outs
Support camp activities
Perform other duties as assigned
Working Conditions / Environment
Non‑traditional and long work hours; typically on call when campers are on property
Private quarters; outdoor work in varied weather; walk/hike daily on uneven terrain
Work with standard kitchen equipment; exposure to cleaners
Staff may live in a unit with other staff, near other staff or campers, or off‑site
Requirements
Current certifications in American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, AED, and ServSafe (strongly preferred)
1 year each of childcare/youth program, supervisory, and administrative experience
Age 18+; strong communication and organizational skills; valid driver’s license
Swimming proficiency (strongly preferred but not required)
Must pass background checks, complete required forms, support Girl Scout mission, and promote diversity and safety
Council Competencies
