About the Role
Talent Vision, a leading Staffing and Consulting Firm, is excited to partner with a respected public charter school in New York City to recruit a dedicated Certified Elementary Teacher for an immediate start. Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction to elementary students in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to a range of abilities, learning styles, and cultural backgrounds.
Evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments and use data to inform and differentiate instruction.
Promote positive classroom management and foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and high expectations.
Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support holistic student development.
Collaborate with grade-level teams and support staff to refine teaching practices and implement best instructional strategies.
Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievement, behavior, and ways to support learning at home.
Integrate technology and innovative techniques to enhance the learning experience.
Participate in school-wide professional development and contribute to school culture initiatives.
Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school and district policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
Current, valid New York State Teaching Certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) or comparable elementary certification, or eligibility for reciprocity.
Proven success or student teaching experience in an elementary classroom, with a commitment to instructional excellence.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based literacy and math instruction, as well as differentiation techniques.
Demonstrated ability to create inclusive, equitable, and culturally affirming classroom environments.
Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Adaptability and initiative in meeting the needs of diverse learners.
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflection.
Passion for shaping educational outcomes for elementary students in urban communities.
