We are looking for a Senior Summer Camp Counselor to join our team at the Y! We spend our days positively impacting the summer camp community around us, helping children reach their potential, enact age‑appropriate goals, and change lives in our Y community.

What is needed for this job:
At least 18 years old
High school graduate or equivalent
Or enrolled in a minimum of 2 years of child development coursework approved by state licensing requirements.
Experience working with children and at least two seasons working as a Y Camp Counselor or as a counselor in a comparable program.
Enthusiasm, sense of humor, and patience.
The responsibilities we will trust you with:
Supervise campers and plan camp activities. Actively participate in activities to encourage participation.
Ensure all campers can participate in all activities, no matter varied abilities whether physical, or intellectual.
Ability to identify, address, and redirect/correct inappropriate behavior.
Ensure appropriate behavior of campers and staff to avoid the risk of accidents.
Assist in maintaining effective communication with parents/guardians regarding camper and camp activities.
