Senior Summer Camp Counselor – Greater Philadelphia YMCA
We are looking for a Senior Summer Camp Counselor to join our team at the Y! We spend our days positively impacting the summer camp community, helping children reach their potential, enact age‑appropriate goals, and change lives in our Y community.

Requirements
At least 18 years old
High school graduate or equivalent
Or enrolled in a minimum of 2 years of child development coursework approved by state licensing requirements
Experience working with children and at least two seasons working as a Y Camp Counselor or in a comparable program
Enthusiasm, sense of humor, and patience
Responsibilities
Supervise campers and plan camp activities; actively participate to encourage participation
Ensure all campers can participate in all activities, regardless of varied physical or intellectual abilities
Identify, address, and redirect inappropriate behavior
Ensure appropriate behavior of campers and staff to avoid risks of accidents
Assist in maintaining effective communication with parents/guardians regarding camper and camp activities
