Job Purpose Prepare material to sew by marking the correct pattern and then cutting the fabric according to the marked pattern.

Non‑Exempt – Full Time - Hourly

Location:

Arhaus Upholstery – Conover, NC

Weekly Hours:

Monday – Friday 6 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Overtime as needed)

Department:

Cutting

Reports To:

Cutting Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities

Match pieces of the pattern to fabric for cutting

Accurately mark patterns on fabric for cutting

Accurately cut fabric pieces once marked for sewing

Other duties as assigned by the Manager

Qualifications

Minimum Experience Requirements:

3+ years of reading and understanding patterns and yardstick measurements

Preferred Experience Requirements:

Experience in furniture manufacturing preferred

Minimum Education Requirements:

Less than High School

Preferred Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Required Skills:

Read a ruler

Use scissors (electric and hand) accurately

Quality‑minded

Work in a fast‑paced environment

Accurately trace and cut patterns

Team player

Reliable

Work with minimum supervision

Have reliable transportation

Work weekends and overtime

Strong communication skills in reading, comprehending, speaking, and writing in English

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs

Stand to cut patterns on a tall cutting table

Walk/stand a minimum of 8 hours per day

Work in normal conditions of a heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant

Good vision

Wear required PPE (Safety Glasses and close‑toed shoes when required)

Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries
