Position Summary Working from our office in Englewood, Colorado, or from your office at home, certified teachers will manage instructional programs and consult regularly with learning coaches and students via telephone, Internet, and curriculum tools to ensure successful completion of each child’s instructional program.

Responsibilities

Complete all grading, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences in a timely manner.

Support the instructional program with asynchronous web‑conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.

Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches to presenting lessons to increase student understanding (working directly with students and parents).

Communicate with parents, students, and other teachers to develop and update Personal Learning Plans, score assessments, provide feedback on student work, suggest instructional approaches and strategies, monitor assignment completion, and coach special projects.

Work collaboratively with other teachers to ensure all students progress successfully, that parents have a central point of contact, and that tasks are distributed among teachers.

Develop a general knowledge of the entire program’s K‑12 curriculum and detailed knowledge of courses for which you are responsible.

Support students and parents with alternate strategies and additional assistance with daily assignments and projects.

Communicate regularly with parents, students, and curriculum specialists via computer and telephone.

Keep student records and data up‑to‑date, including cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance accounting, and logging all contacts.

Consult with other teachers and staff learning specialists to develop alternate enrichment activities and modifications to students’ programs.

Coordinate social activities and relevant field trips for students.

Manage regional field trips and integrate trips into the curriculum.

Devise and implement virtual methods for creating and maintaining a “school community.”

Participate in the organization and administration of the state testing, as directed.

Participate in student recruiting sessions and other marketing efforts that require teacher representation.

Work with content and grade‑level teachers and school counselors to ensure students and families receive appropriate communications and that progress goals are met.

Attend in‑person state testing, field trips, and other community activities for families.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Highly qualified and certified to teach Secondary Technology in Colorado.

Strong technology skills, especially with Google programs.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Customer‑focused approach.

High degree of flexibility.

Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment.

Track record as a team player.

Travel as required.

Works remotely if necessary.

Readily available for occasional evening hours to support families.

Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two‑step authentication.

Additional Information Note:

This position is for the 2025–2026 academic year. The anticipated starting salary for Colorado‑based individuals begins at $39,600 per year. Benefits available to eligible employees can be seen at https://www.connectionsacademy.com/careers/benefits.
